News On 6 app good for
6 always keeps me updated on all the news and you couldnt ask or get any better then channel 6.
I have used this app. For years easy to get the headlines easy to navigate. Recently they got to greedy for me. All the ads ruin it. I dont mind the Chevy ad at the start or the ad that pops up in the middle of every story,but having a whole page open that I have to exit out of twice that is a shameless money pull.
I love channel 6 in the morning before I go to work to see how my day is going to be and when I get home from work its the best
Very contented to stay right here on 6. I get everything I need, news, weather, community. 6 has got it!
I love love the Channel 6 news app but the alerts drive me bonkers! An alert will pop up on my phone and I go to get more info and its not on yet. I realize Channel 6 wants to be the "first" with news but I, as the public, really dont care who is first with an alert. I want the INFORMATION first. Thank you!
I check Newson6 daily and feel I find excellent news coverage.
Some bad moments
What a pile of unorganized junk that gives nothing but errors or refuses to load. This app went from my favorite to delete in one update.
The same ad over and over. On startup or when switching between apps. Ive started using the website.... There at the very least I dont have to deal with waiting a bit before I can find the information Im looking for. KOTV - you need to remove this element of the app.
I have always preferred News On 6, but now since they have added LONG commercials in front of breaking weather updates and videos I might end up getting killed by a tornado before the ad is finished playing. How about if there is severe weather in the state you do us all a favor and remove the ads. The rest of the time they are no big deal but in a situation where satellite tv, cable and even power is out were dependant on your coverage.
When my favorite news station first started putting ads into their app I was ok with it, however the ads have grown larger and more invasive over the last few months. Some of the ads require access to your gps location to function properly and this concerns me about my privacy.
News On 6 will always be my go to place for any kind of news. However the ads on this app are so frustrating. Unfortunately I know most apps are like this but it doesnt mean I have to be happy about it.
Having to see the ad before the app opens was annoying but doable. The ones that pop up randomly between news stories are more than annoying...they have become distracting.
